WHAT: The NYC Computer Science Opportunity Fair (CS Fair) is New York City's largest annual college and career inspiration event for public high school students studying computer science. In its fourth year, the 2017 CS Fair hosted over 2,000 students from 60 schools across all five boroughs as well as 100+ companies, colleges and extra-curricular programs.
WHY: The CS Fair aims to excite students about the myriad educational and career opportunities that result from studying CS. The CS Fair also connects tech companies to each other and showcases each one's amazing employees and products.
WHEN: Wednesday, March 29, 2017, 9:30am-2:30pm
WHERE: Armory Track, 216 Fort Washington Ave, New York, NY
There is no fee to participate, but we are looking for sponsors at various levels so we can keep this event free for students and presenters. If you are interested in sponsoring a part of the CS Fair, please contact Mary Ellen (email@example.com).
The CS Fair consists of four main components:
- Exhibitors: companies, colleges and extra-curricular programs.
- Speaker engagements: networking, panels and tech talks.
- Maker Spaces: hands-on student activities.
- Student Showcase: celebration of student achievement.
